My Aunt is paralyzed

January 31, 2009 · Posted in Health, Personal · Comment

Well, back to my aunt. She is paralyzed for the rest of life due to stroke. That’s what the doctor said. I feel sad right now. As a result, an area of her brain is affected and unable to function. She has a blood clot in her brain as big as a baby’s fist. The doctor said, there’s nothing they can do about it. Her left body is body paralyzed. She could hardly talk. She doesn’t even recognize us. This is really serious. I love her and I wish she did not have to be in this situation. The doctor said that she wouldn’t live longer. Only miracle can heal her.

Bad news

January is almost over. I can hardly believe that time runs fast. Well, today, I got some bad news. I learned that my aunt had a stroke. I really feel bad for her. And now, she is admitted to the hospital. She is still unconscious and breathing through oxygen tube. I really wish she did not have to experience or suffer from that situation. She was so depressed when her daughter (which was my cousin) died last year. And I think she could hardly accept it for it was a sudden death. And plus, she did not really take care of her health. She has high blood pressure but did not really do something about it. Sometimes, death is hard to accept. But that’s how life goes.

Is it hard to lose weight?

January 20, 2009 · Posted in Health, Personal · Comment

It is hard to lose weight based on my experience. I was a little bit chubby before but I did my best to lose weight and get physically fit. I just changed my diet and lifestyle. Today, I would like to share some tips on how I lost some pounds weight. By the way, I did not undergo any surgery or take any diet pills. I just did some daily routines.

Eat just enough portion every meal. Don’t eat a lot. Anyway, gluttony is a sin. Never skip meal. Some people skip breakfast because they don’t want to gain weight. Don’t you know that breakfast keeps you going throughout the day? I would say that you should avoid soda, liquor, or beer. Avoid eating junk foods. And the last but not least, exercise frequently. Exercise can help you burn calories and fats and help you in blood circulation.

philippinesToday, I want to talk about my country, Philippines. Philippines is consists of 7, 107 islands on high tide. There are still islands on low tide but I don’t know the exact numbers. I will update this post as soon as I get the right numbers. . Geographically speaking, Philippines is located in Southeast of Asia. Philippines is a tropical place. It is hot and humid. But I love it. Actually, Philippines is divided into three regions; Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. And people speak different dialects (100 dialects). But the national language is Tagalog. And the nice thing is English is our second language and the medium of instruction. However, you can find many beautiful places and views in every island of the Philippines. I would love to travel each island someday.

Indian Thriller

I would like to share a video from the youtube that my sister shared with me. This video is so hilarious. It cracked me up so bad. The video is an Indian version of “Thriller by Michael”.  The song is called Golimar, which means shoot the Bullet but it is popular as “Indian Thriller”. The scene contains choreography and elements which appear to be very similar to Michael Jackson’s music video for Thriller. It might look ridiculous to you at first, I bet you will crack up as the song goes.
