It is a few sleeps to Christmas day. I am very excited about it. I could hardly wait for Christmas Eve for it is a big deal here in the Philippines. I must say that Christmas is about family gathering to celebrate the birth of our savior. I really like to spend time and share your blessings with my family. I am not rich but I consider myself rich because I have my family. Here in the Philippines, every December, there is what we called “Misa de Gallo” which means,” Dawn mass”. Customarily at 4 in early morning, the bells in the church awake the Filipinos. It is a prompt that the mass is about to begin too soon. This misa de gallo is a nine-day novena mass. So, people would wake up early for nine days. It is also like a sacrifice. You know what, outside the church, there are many vendors selling rice cakes, “bodbod”, “puto”, “bibingka” etc., It is really appetizing.
