Who was Valentine? The name valentine ( priest Valentio ) does not occur in the earliest list of roman. Valentine was a priest in Rome and He was apprehended, and to be beheaded, on February 14, about the year 270. Saint Valentine he’s remains still a mystery. One opinion is that he was a Roman martyred refusing to give up his Christian faith. Other historians said, that Saint Valentine was a temple priest, jailed for defiance during the reign of Claudius. Valentine really existed because archaeologists have unearthed a Roman catacomb and an ancient church dedicated to Saint Valentine. Pope Gelasius 1 first established the feast of Saint Valentine in 496. The greatest parts of his relics are now in the church of St. Praxedes. His name is celebrated as a martyr. Some say that Saints are not supposed to rest in peace; they’re expected to keep busy: to perform miracles, to intercede. One legend says, while awaiting his execution, Valentines restored the sight of his jailer’s blind daughter. Another legend says, before he’s execution he penned a farewell note to the jailer’s daughter, signing it, “From your Valentine.” He is the Patron Saint represented in pictures with birds and roses.


what makes to yawn?

What makes us yawn? Yawning is cause of boredom and other theorize it that we need to stretch our neck muscles. Many researcher belief and agree yawning is simply way of our body to compensate for less oxygen in our blood stream.

Every cell in our body needs continual supply of oxygen. When you breathe you take the air to supply into our lungs and pass through to the blood so that the oxygen can carry throughout our body. Normally when we exhale, we get rid the waste carbon dioxide. If you can recall when you are bored or just sitting around, you tend to breath slowly than normal because our body doesn’t get all the oxygen we needs. Sometimes we are not getting rid of the carbon dioxide in our body. Our brain senses this and extra breath is called yarn. We always open our mouth when we yarn because you can breath much more air through our mouth than through to our nose. The air isn’t clean because its not filtered through the nose. A yarn is design to take in a lot of air quick, clean or not. Also animals do yarn, for the same reason we do. If you want to avoid yawning you should take a deep breath whenever you feel to yarn. If you like the oxygen you take can easily flow through your body sit comfortably or chew a gum to stimulate your mouth muscles to prevent from yawning.


Sleeping disorder

When we extremely tired, sometime we get a difficulty sleeping between 9 to 11 am and between 7 and 9 pm. When were sleeping, a biochemical switch in the brain prevents the brain from ordering your muscles to move.

If this switch did not work, according to the researcher who conducts a study that a person would walk, talk or even commit violent act while sleeping. This is one of the causes of sleepwalking. In a conditions known as a night terror victims physically act out their dreams while in a sleep walking state. Person should have the average of sleep at least 8 hours per night. The chimpanzee gets about 10 hours of sleep a day, researcher shown that if we are removed form the stress of modern world, we will sleep of average of 10 hours a day. Sleep depression has become a national malady because of other country like here in the Philippines there some so much night life and this will affect our performance at work or even at home. If you are have nightmare and cannot move, just blink your eyes or wiggle your tongue to break the paralysis.


Sea horse

One of the most fascinating fishes is the sea hose. Which is true fish. These small creatures, which look like miniature horses, have some fascinating habits. Sea horse is monogamous and stays with one partner for their entire lives. Every morning they perform greeting dance to reaffirm their pledge to each other.

If their partner dies, it is long time before the sea horse will search for a new partner. The male sea horse become pregnant and nourishes the young until they are born. Parental cares end and the baby sea horse must fend for themselves. A baby sea horse faces many dangers. It must protect itself from any predators, and if it mistakenly eats a small air bubbles thinking it’s food, it will die. Sea horse are not very agile and rely on camouflage for protection they can rapidly change color of their bodies to blend into whatever background they are in at time. Unfortunately those wonderful little horses like are becoming and endangered species. Asian countries use them for food medicine, aphrodisiacs, curio and aquarium market is also steadily growing. China alone consume consumes aver 6 million sea horse a year. There are at least 36 countries engaged in buying and selling sea horses. A sea horse rarely lives more than three years, but with it popularity as a food and medicine, not may will live even that long.


It’s all about New Year’s celebration

Did you know that as we celebrate the New Year’s Day is the oldest holiday in the world. Over 4000 years ago the ancient Babylonians celebrated the coming of the New Year’s around the end of March. During the Roman Empire, the calendar eventually went out synchronization with the moon.In 153 BC, the Roman Senate declared the January first would be the beginning of the New Year. Although this arbitrary date has neither astronomical nor agricultural significant. Today we still consider it to be the start of a New Year.

In Greece around 600BC. they observed by using a baby to signify the New Year carried in a basket to present the rebirth of Dionysus, the god of fertility. To celebrate the New Year in Tibet Buddhist monk they create sculpture made from yak butter, some reach as high as 30 feet. Many New Year’s tradition has it’s different way of celebrating like Austria each New Year they start it with dinner of roast suckling pig. In most part of the world the pig symbolizes moving forward into the New Year. A pig moves forward with it’s snout to the ground. In Crete nothing thrown away on New Year’s Day not even waste. It is believed that throwing away on that day will decrease the wealth of the family during the coming year. In most Muslim societies New Year’s day is observed by wearing new clothes. In southeast Asia birds and turtle are released for good luck during the coming year. In India Hindus, they place shrines next to their beds so they will see beautiful object when they will open their eyes at the start of a New Year.
